A YEAR TO REMEMBER
A Year To Remember...
It was going to be a good year,
We had plans and dreams a plenty.
But no-one knew,
What we’d all go through,
In the year of 2020.
It’s been a time of challenges,
The hardest of them all.
But we tried our best,
To pass the test,
Here at Denton Hall.
It started rather slowly,
With the nation in a mess.
But we all stayed strong,
And wrote a song,
To salute the NHS.
Then when the stalls reopened,
We landed our first punch.
We got off the mark,
At Gosforth Park,
With Callum riding Brunch.
Arch Moon quickly followed,
Que Amoro and Jawwaal.
Once on the road,
The winners flowed,
And lifted our morale.
When summer came, we went to York,
Where our filly cut a dash.
With Paul on top,
She didn’t stop,
And scared the great Battaash.
In autumn too, we carried on,
We were really on a roll.
This time Connor,
Took the honours,
On board Dakota Gold.
And all the time we raised a smile,
Though it might have seemed quite barmy,
Trot off the press,
Who could have guessed,
We’d give a blog to Barney?
So 2020’s come and gone,
We fought against the odds.
We’ve passed the post,
So here’s a toast…
All good wishes – from Team Dods.
